My patients have been some of my greatest teachers.

And I am grateful for them.

Through them, I have come to understand that caring for people is a true calling for me. Some of the most valuable things a physician can offer aren’t prescriptions at all. They are time, honest perspective, and help seeing your own situation more clearly.

Whether you’re facing a difficult decision or simply need someone to think it through with, I’m glad to serve as a guide. I will also tell you honestly when someone else would be a better fit.

Health and wellness aren’t a marketing strategy for me. I do my best to practice what I preach. I love to experiment with interventions and protocols, from diet and exercise to weight loss and supplements. Much of it was unconventional when I first came across it. Where I can, I try things myself before I recommend them.

I was a patient before I was a doctor. I’ve been one several times since. It showed me early what many doctors don’t experience until later in their careers. It gave me perspective and deepened my empathy in a way nothing else could have. The challenges I’ve faced inform the advice I give. That is how I came to appreciate those hardships.

Philosophy and approach

Medicine as a partnership

Healing begins with feeling seen, heard, understood, and cared for. I strive to create a practice where you feel safe sharing your concerns, experiences, and goals openly and without judgment.

I want to know who you are.

My approach brings careful analysis and intuitive insight to each visit. I consider the whole person: your body, mind, lifestyle, and the circumstances that shape your health. Health concerns are often interconnected and cannot always be understood in isolation. Beyond symptoms and clinical data, I am naturally inclined to search for deeper patterns, underlying contributors, and the broader context affecting your well-being. Together, we will explore evidence-based treatments, preventive care, and integrative approaches uniquely tailored to your values and goals.

This practice is built around time, relationship, and individualized care. It isn’t designed for everyone. If you’re looking for quick, transactional visits or a predetermined answer without discussion, another practice will likely serve you better.

But perhaps you’ve felt rushed, dismissed, or reduced to a chief complaint. You want a physician who will work alongside you as a true partner in your health. If so, I’d be glad to meet you.

If you’ve read this far, we may already be a good fit.

ADHD care

An abundance of attention

ADHD is of special interest to me. It is often misunderstood as a shortage of attention. In my experience, it’s closer to the opposite: an abundance of attention that doesn’t always go where you ask it to. The challenge isn’t caring less or trying less. It’s channeling a mind that moves toward interest, novelty, and urgency rather than toward obligation.

What people are saying

In patients’ words

Reviews from patients I’ve cared for over the years at previous practices. Considered Care is new. The care is the same. Shared as patients wrote them, unedited.

Top notch care as always. I genuinely appreciate Dr. Syed taking the time to inquire about my personal life in addition to working with medications to improve my quality of life. 5 Stars 🌟 is an understatement. Highly recommend!

In the age of AI

Why see a physician at all?

I use AI tools myself for certain tasks. They can be really helpful. I’m especially interested in how they can ease the administrative burden of medicine. That frees up more time for my patients. You can ask about almost any symptom or medication and get a decent answer in seconds.

But information was never the hard part of medicine. The hard part is knowing what applies to you. That takes an exam, your history, and someone who knows you well enough to notice when something is off.

I can examine you, order the right tests, and safely start or stop a medication. I remember what we talked about last time. I will hold you to the plan we made together.

Sometimes the most useful thing I offer is a second mind on a decision you are already wrestling with.
